Back to work! After a months-long hiatus in the wake of Covid-19, we're finally getting back into the lab. On to finishing Chapters 1, 2, and 3 (oh my!) of my dissertation between now and Halloween!

At UW, I work primarily with microorganisms that interact metabolically with heavy metals. I do this as part of the Geomicrobiology Lab, under Prof. Drew Gorman-Lewis. Our broad goals as a lab are to understand the interplay between microbes and geochemical components in aqueous systems. For more details, click below!

I completed my bachelor’s degree in biology and marine science at UC Berkeley in 2014, including an honors thesis at NASA Ames Research Center examining carbon monoxide reduction by anaerobic bacteria under serpentinizing conditions. Click below for more!
