Is this thing on?

You know that feeling when you start a blog only to not post on it for a year? Yeah, me neither 😜

From here until I'm given the hood that signifies the completion of my term of service (further proof that grads are secretly just tall house elves), I'll be posting a couple times a week. Those posts will be far ranging, but will tie to the current work happening. Since that work includes pieces from chapters 2-4 in my dissertation, it should be an eclectic meltingpot of microbial musings.
